Red face Just a question for you Camaro guys?

I truly hope this isn't a stupid question. I tried searching for a thread on here and it didn't show up. If it is here and someone can post the link to it it'd be appreciated? I do not currently own a Camaro just wanted to get that out of the way. Here's the thing I really love this car along with the Evo and Sti please don't kill me yet. The reason I even consider the Evo or Sti is do to it's AWD. I live on Long Island which has its fair share of snow. SO here goes my dilemma. I have searched on the internet and spoken to many people about a RWD car in snowy icy weather and have had mixed opinions. The unfortunate thing is this would be my daily driver and I know it's not the wisest of decisions to drive a car this pretty in the snow. So my question to you guys with maybe Blizzaks is snow driving truly attainable?

with the traction control and good set of tires that are meant for the snow and icy weather you should have no issues. i have DD a couple camaros in the past during the winter months with little to no issues just by driving safely and conservatively. obviously you need to adjust your driving habits and it will be a learning curve the first few times you take it out in those conditions but i would not rule the car out completely based solely on the two or so months of actual snowy weather we have been getting in our region.

Upstate is much worse than here thanks good to hear that it's doable.

It would surely be a feeling out process out at first. It's a heavy car too which I think helps it.

What do you think of this review from this guy? Link is below.

I have always enjoyed Matt Farah's reviews from G419 and TST, and I agree with him on the 5th gen.

I have a Gti which is the funny part of it. It's true what he states about the interior I have a gripe with buying a car like an Evo or an Sti for that reason. I have to go check this car out at the dealer and get back to you guys. Can't really take myself seriously yet without actually doing some of my own investigating. I've obviously seen it exterior wise and do love the aggressive look of the ride. Hmmmm...time will tell. Thanks for the post.

I was dying in CO with the ice. But I had the stock tires the whole time. I would get stuck on hills I didnt even know were there any other time. That being said, I had a set of blizzacks on the wifes car (a Kia) and drove it like it was a 4X4 with no issues. The right tires made all the difference in the world on that car. We would take it up the mountain every weekend to ride and ski. If I was going to be in CO for another winter I would have invested in some blizzacks for the Camaro for sure.

Don't drive it in the snow. Backed it out of my driveway last year to start it and went sideways trying to get in the garage. 2SS with 6 speed.
