Daddy likes the ZL1 from chevy, is that a blower on top?

And there are three ZL1 options from SLP with the top model being 700+ HP and also another $45K on top of the car.

"SLP presents the 2011 ZL® Camaro. Only 69 will be built for 2011"

"2011 ZL1® CONTENT MSRP $80,000 plus cost of a new 1SS or 2SS with manual transmission"

How do you think it's gonna compare to the 2011/2012 GT500s????

added this into another forum....

"my guess is it doesn't keep up.

GT500
Displacement: 330 cu. in. / 5,409 cc
Horsepower: 550 hp @ 6,200 rpm
Torque: 510 lb.-ft. @ 4,500 rpm
Wheelbase: 107.1
Overall length: 188.2
Overall width: 73.9
Overall height: 54.5 Coupe; 55.9 Convertible
Track width: front/rear 61.9 / 62.5
Ground clearance: 5.7
Curb weight, pounds: Coupe 3,820, Convertible 3,969

ZL1
Displacement (cu in / cc):376 / 6162
Horsepower (hp / kW @ rpm): 550 / 410 @ 6100 (estimated)
Torque (lb-ft / Nm @ rpm): 550 / 745 @ 3800 (estimated)
Wheelbase (in / mm): 112.3 / 2852
Overall length (in / mm): 190.4 / 4836
Overall width (in / mm): 75.5 / 1918
Overall height (in / mm): 54.2 / 1376
Track, front (in / mm): 63.7 / 1618
Track, rear (in / mm): 63.7 / 1618
Curb weight (lb / kg): TBD

2011 SS weight: Curb Weight MT 3860

idk if this LSA engine is gonna be heavier or what, but it's a little bigger, now that i look at it, it could just be a drivers race... :dunno"

Silly noob. The Cadillac CTS-V ran a 12.3-second 1/4 mile, while the GT500 ran 12.5-second 1/4 mile. Keep in mind that the Camaro ZL1 will weigh about 300 pounds less than the CTS-V. These numbers were taken by Motor Trend. Don't take too much from this, wait for the official 1/4 mile times to be released for the ZL1.

The ZL1 is now a factory option from GM. They won't cost, 130k that's for sure. Around the 50k range I've heard.

I think it's pretty bad *** lol. It will weigh around the same as the SS due to GM shaving off some weight with more carbon fiber pieces and a few lighter materials in general

SLP gets to use the name through the 2011 model year, then will stop. SLP is not a factory option. If you want an SLP Camaro, we order them, and ship them to SLP for a conversion.

The Chevy 2012 ZL1 will not be limited production. My guess is it (The Chevy version) will come in around $55K.

yeah, whatever the GT500 goes for, it would be reasonable to assume the ZL1 will be pretty close to that.

now the question is...will there be a convertible?

the question is why buy a ZL1 camaro when another 10K gets you into the corvette arena?
