Very cool I've yet to see a V8 5th gen in person. I did however see a yellow 5th gen with RS badging on it in downtown San Diego last month. It still makes me happy knowing that the 5th gen V6 Camaro will have about as much HP as the current Mustang GT.

 

I sat in one at a local autoshow this past weekend. Nearly lost bowel control. I wish I could have drove it but just sitting in it was a thrill

 

ya i seen one on a chevy commercial, where they were talking about there 5year 100k powertrain warranty, it was just sitting in the back, i had to to swap the dvr to rewind to make sure i didnt imagine it xD

 

The SS is the Top of the line Camaro, unless they come out with a ZL1... the Z28 was never the most powerful Camaro it was originally built for the trans am series, it was a performance package, but was not the most powerful it was originally built with a 302. The most powerful camaro Chevy ever produced was the 1969 ZL1 COPO 9560 with an aluminum 427 Chevy rated it at 430bhp but it is known to produce closer to 500bhp.

 

They was going to make the z28 the top dog for 2010 but GM stopped it. It wouldv'e had the supercharged zr1 engine, detuned to 568 horsepower. IT was on the cover of Motor Trend, April 2009.
