too much hp... your crazy lol but seriously imo like 350 hp is more than enough for the streets, unless you really enjoy getting to the red lights faster. i drive a 365 hp chrysler 300 and its way more than enough power.

I guess its a matter of opinion but I would think that the ZL-1 would border around what I would consider too much power for the street. My SS is very powerful..and I'm completely satisfied with it..but adding another 100+ horsepower in my opinion anyway would border on almost too much maybe even not safe.

Of course you are going to get some answers from people claiming they drive 1000+ horsepower daily drivers to work every day and its not enough because there can never be enough power...but I promise you they pray to god every time they go around a sharp turn in the rain hoping they dont kick the rear end out

Personally, I think 500 is about the most you would ever want in something you drive alot. And of course its all relative to the car. You have to take into consideration weight and everything else. 500hp in a big fat heavy charger is way more reasonable than 350hp in a little integra.

It's hard to say personally. You can build a motor and say "ok this combination will put me around 350-400 HP that's more than enough" I give you a couple of months and you would want more.

youll always want more, its figuring out when you have a really nice street car or a over powered death trap.

I have trouble with this now and I doubt I'm pushing more than 300 at the wheels. But my tires are a little worn sooo that could be it too.

it's too much when your tires can't handle it.
