2000 ss is a 4th gen depends on your budget and plans on what headers you should get.it should only cost about 3-400 in labor to install them

3-400 really ? i talked to a person at a local racing shop and he told me it would take 2 days to istall the headers . he gave me a big speach about how the car is built around the engine and it would take alot of time to put them in

Go to a different shop. The engine can be dropped in from the bottom or top. And you can do your headers in your garage in less time, even if you don't know what your doing.

yeah it only takes 2 hours tops with a lift in a garage, yeah it will take longer if you do it yourself in your garage but its still possible,if you do it yourself have a helping hand around, you will need it.
