Firebird or Trans-Am

After the 5th gen Camaro is there gonna be a Firebird or Trans-Am or will the GTO be the sister car for the camaro.

GM has stated that the pontiac firebird wont be coming out with the new camaro because it would cost more for them to design it, but i would never consider the gto the camaro sister car
