^ feel your pain man. Ive worked at a wendys and was just able to get my v6. Im going into college as a freshman and getting a job in a pharmacy (hopefully) and should maybe be able to go up to a LT1 or LS1 in a year or 2. But I seriously can wait for your second build thread

 

I was actually doing research on dropping a 5.3 Vortec in my Camaro. Those engines are LS based and LS parts bolt on to them. LS intake, Z06 cam.. and it's been done in a lot of vehicles. It's a cast iron block though, but who cares.

Been finding 5.3's on ebay all day for 6-800 dorras.

Something to think about.
