Default Exhaust Systems

TO anyone that has changed their stock exhaust systems for the SS----

Are there any systems out there for the 2010 and 2011 which do not require you to cut into the trunk area of the car to make the mufflers fit?

The flowmaster had different kits depending on ground effects or not, but you probably figured that out by now. I had never heard of cutting the trunk. Also I wouldnt bother wasting the money getting a shop to install it (the FM anyway), it was like 6 bolts and the stock slid right out.

It sounded good with nothing from cat back, but I'm sure that would be frowned upon. I just cut off the muffs so I could store the stock in my shed, but now want to put it back on just for SNG.

Yeah, I dont know who told him that they had to cut anything on his vehicle I will be sure not to go there. I have a friend that is now a manager at a local meineke so to prevent me from screwing anything up like i do with home improvements i will just let him do it.

What is the difference between the GM performance exhaust #92206992 and the Track pack exhaust #92231570

I want the growl when on it but don't want to be drowned out at highway speeds.

I'm new to the forums so please bare with me. I have a 2010 2SS Auto and want to do and exhaust. I want to put 1-chamber FlowMasters and remove the resonators. By doing so, will this void my warranty? If so, just the cat-back warranty or the entire power-train? I purchased and extended warranty as well.

It will only void the warranty on the exahust, which isnt in the car anymore anyway.

Does the include the heads? I'm going to my dealer in 2 weeks and I am going to ask them. Thanks for response.

I dont see how it could include the heads, but I dont know how they could go bad. The dealer will tell you aftermarket valve caps on your tires will void the entire warranty if he thinks you'll believe it.
