Default Decisions Decisions

I'm wanting to buy a new Camaro but with the news of the new ZL1 coming out I don't know whether to buy myself an SS or wait for the ZL1. What do you guys think? I mean the SS will run me around 38 to 40 then I would want to boost it some or I could spend the 49 or so on the ZL1 and be done. I want a camaro NOW but man that ZL1 sure looks like well worth the wait. Help me make my mind up will ya.

If you have the bux, buy the SS now and then trade it in for a ZL1.

no, that is the engine that came in the 4th gen camaro (98-2002). Similar design to the engines in the 5th gens.
have you talked to a dealer about the zl1? you may end up paying well over sticker price. I know the GT500's were going for 20k+ over sticker just due to demand. MSRP is more of a suggestion than a rule. See if you can get your name on a list for a zl1. If you need a car now then get the SS and talk to a good speed shop about building a ZL1-type ride out of it - unless the true ZL1 badging means that much to you. I wouldnt buy two cars in two years though. Huge waste of money.

I say wait for the ZL1. Everyone and their mother has got a 2010 or 2011 Camaro SS. The upcoming ZL1 will help set you apart from them.

all the articles i've read said that chevy has put no build limit on the ZL1.as long as people want them, they'll continue to pump them out !supposed to run around the price of a CTS.they won't be available until 2012 if you choose to wait that long;and with that iconic "ZL1",i suspect that additional dealer markup will be the rule, rather than the exception !!good luck, and do what's right for you !
