there is a new cts cadillac comind in 09 with 550 hp and i think 550 torque would this beat and stock corvette coupe

 

In a straight line drag race? Possibly, at around 4200 lbs and 550 Hp it has 7.6 lbs HP, versus about 7.8 for the 420 HP 'vette. But it has more power to put to the ground on (I think) smaller tires and it will depend on gears, etc.

On a closed course: not a chance.
