Default Car stalls after low fuel

So my 2015 LT with 50k will sputter after the fuel has been low and refilled. The last time it stalled. sometimes its after the light has been on (low fuel) but often before the light is on. I thought maybe the fuel filter was to blame but I read its either in the tank or we do not have one on this car. So it has 50k and I do notice a sputter when driving once in awhile at a red light. But as I said it now sputters very hard after filling up after the gas gets low. The other day it did not start right away. And this is often before the low fuel light is even on. So not bone dry. Anybody have any tips? I have no dash warning lights. It has a severe misfire after low fuel. Like its gonna stall. Plugs are brand new.

Now I have a check engine light with a fuel and transmission sub menu code of 7ea, 7eb and 7e8. Anybody know about this?

Default Sputter

Took car to dealer. $900 to replace a purge valve that I already replaced. They said it was cross threaded. Engine light is off now. Still felt a sputter tonight after driving it hard. I guess I did cross thread it. They told me that it was the original purge valve but I thought there must me two. There are not and it was not the original. Rip off? The regualar mechanic would not touch it. He did not know the sub menu code. He recommended the dealer. I bet its not even all fixed. Althought the engine light is off but they could have reset the codes. I can't pay another $900 if it goes down again. Do other people not own these or are they just not on forums? Hard time getting help on these. Another forum banned me for posting like 4 times. Called it spam. They are very heavy in pop ups anyway. But I was asking for help so that is what the forums are for. If I needed more help I don't see how that is spam. And no recourse. No do over. Way too many pop ups on that site. Kind of mad I paid $900 to have a $40 part installed that takes only 20 minutes. They charged over $600 diagnostic. I thought the purge valve was in the gas tank I thought they said they were removing the gas tank but they did not. That was very steep for what was repaired.

Well, it sounds like you definitely OVER PAID....no way I wooda' spent that $$$$ on what little was done!

I changed my valve for about $40...and it cured the "service engine light" scenario.....just sayin'....

Default cost

purge valve i installed new they said was stuck open. it was almost new. they replaced a gasket. they said the purge valve screw was cross threaded and had to be rethreaded. They said the 600 dollar diagnostic fee would go towards the repair bit it was still $860. Do I have any recourse? 600 diagnostic was three hours of diagnostics. the other non dealer charges $154 diagnostic. thats it and it goes towards repair. i thought the $190 diagnostic was going to be the end of it. not two more $190s
