Annoying squeaky noise possibly from trunk area
So after years of dealing with this noise Ive decided to ask for help.
Car 2014 LT
sqeaky noise when driving on regular street not highway. Seems to be coming from trunk area as I can hear it louder when I put down the backseat.
replaced brakes, main belt, tires. Tried removing spare tire but nothing has helped.
its been doing it for years and the shop said most likely belt but it was not the belt.
im thinking maybe shocks struts as they never been replaced possibly ?? Or maybe something in the chassis ?? Any suggestions would be great

I did warranty work back in the day. Noises like this can be the worse to find especially if you do not know when it started. Sounds can be so tricky, sometimes the sound will travel through a solid and sound like it was coming from a one place while its true source is 3 feet away. I would be able to either find the noise within 10 minutes or I knew I was in for a long day. I have ridden in trunks and under hoods. If we had safety guys back then they would have had a heart attack. In some cases the issue is a small vibration that should not be there causing the noise. You end up needing to find the vibration. At least with vibrations we had tools to help us. FYI I think any smart phone can have a vibration analysis app added to it.
Exhaust is the most common issue on 5+ year old cars. But less common coming out of the factory that way. Doors, hatches and hoods if they do not close tight can also cause noises. Sometimes you can see rubbing wear on the weather seals. If it is not the exhaust a bag of rice can help. Just put the bag of rice on a suspected area and if the noise changes your on the right track. Be glad it is not a dash noise.
Imagine finding a bad spotwelds under a bumper cover that sounds like its coming from the rear springs as you drive. That was two days of my life I can’t get back.

Another possibility is suspension parts like lower control arms in the back that need greasing or bushings replaced.
Maybe get a friend to help you push the back of the car down and up and down a few times to see if you hear the noise
