I saw a picture online that showed the blue light continuing from the door to the dash. Mine stops at the door. Does anyones go beyond the door?Maybe photo was touched up.

 

It was in the original design of the car, but was later dropped, GM thought glare off the windshield could be a problem, there now are kits that can be bought to DIY.

 

While on this subject.....

I can't seem to nail down exactly what cars come with the ambient lighting in the doors. Is it part of an option package or is it standard on the 2LT? The Camaro section of the Chevy website doesn't seem to make mention of ambient lighting at all (that I can find). Also I see some cars have a plastic panel on the door (interior) that matches the exterior color, is that also part of a package or does that too come with specific models. Thanks for any help......I'm new here but had a '94 Camaro, '94 Trans Am & '00 Trans Am, so I am quite a fan of these cars.

 

Well so far, the only 2010's that I'm aware of that have this "ambient light" option are the limited edition Synergy Green, which is what I have. It's cool and all, but not something that I would have paid extra for.

 

Well, I just grabbed my sticker from the car and it doesn't mention it. I have a 2LT with the RS pacakge and auto trans w/remote start. As far as color, mine is Imperial Blue Metallic. I have black leather, so the doors are black except for that plastic door teardrop inset (aluminum/gray in color). The blue light follows the upper edge of the teardrop.

 

The lighting is on all models,as well as the door insert... the only option would be the IOM interior accent package, then all the lighting as well as the panel isorange.

 

Friday I get my White (w/ Orange stripes) 2LT, so that will have the lighting in the door and would I be correct to assume a white panel on the door?

No Black interior.

 

I think your panel will be a grey one then.
