I just bought my 2011 used from a dealership (a Toyota Dealership) Saturday. I drove it home and noticed the HUD on the windshield had a small line going through the display.

After getting home, I looked at it a little more and noticed there was a crack in in the brittle plastic cover over the projector. I am about 99% sure GM won't offer just the cover for it, and will have to replace the whole projector. I am scared to death GM is going to tell me this is user error and try to say this won't be fixed on their dime. Again, I am just speculating.

Has anyone else had a problem with the screen cracking? If so, what was the outcome. Please tell me I am not screwed in the a-hole.
