Died while driving now will not turn over and check engine light rapidly flashes no gages work any ideas on what is going on

 

Are you expecting to avoid a trip to a mechanic?

Decades ago in a rival's product, it was a "fuel-pump circuit breaker" failure.

Fewer decades ago in a Chevrolet product, too young for such a tragic fate, it was the main computer chip.

Several years later, with a different Chev, at major-service time, I suggested replacing the chip (of which there are likely now several), and they said that it would likely last indefinitely but might fail tomorrow, and that nobody did preventative replacements.

Let us know what your mechanic says.

 

i have same issue but mine didnt die it just wont start...i hear about 6 rapid fire clicks tho..all my gauges are working. Did you figure out what was wrong? i changed my battery but i am thinking its the starter?
