Default 2010 Chevrolet Camaro

People have bagsied on the Camaro's interior, but I actually like it quite a bit. Some of the materials feel somewhat cheap, but I like the layout and the modern lighting trim that runs along the door panels. I'm not completely sold on the retro gauge placement on the center console, however. It looks cool, but then again, you really do have to look to glean any of their data.

this should go in the 5th Generation section, not ROTM (mods, I'll leave that to you).

But yeah, having spent some seat time in the 5th gen, I'd say the biggest gripe about the interior is that outward visibility is horrible (although I guess that isn't really the interior's fault). Yeah, the gauges are oddly placed, but they had them there on the '69 Camaros. I don't like the big shiny plastic trim that goes on the doors and the dash. I think that would be much better if it was leather (it's actually cloth on cars with cloth interiors). The gauges aren't that hard to read after a little while. The steering wheel is really big and bulky (and ugly). Not really crazy about the shift **** either.

Well the visibility in the 4th gens are not good either and I think that the interior in the 5th gens are much better than the 4th gens. The 4th gen interiors are really cheap looking.

believe me, having driven both, the 4th gen is WAY better to see out of.

and yes, the 4th gen interior is kinda cheap (like just about every other GM car from that time), but the Camaro really isn't that impressive compared to most of GM's newer offerings.

The best GM interior in my opinion would be the 2004-2006 Pontiac GTO's. I do like the position of the driver in the 4th gens though. It is comfortable to drive, sucks if you're a passenger though.

Thats funny, I had always heard the issue with mass plastic inside and didnt get it until I saw a 2SS, then I was glad I didnt pay extra for it. I have the 1SS and the cloth fits nice to me, and looks right.

I liked the leather in my Eclipse, but it was too slippery when I got into it on the curves.

after some time behind the wheel....you get used to it and it doesn't bother you anymore.

this is very true. I dont feel like their is an enourmous blind spot anymore. Also, lets dont compare 4th gen at all to this car. Really a completly different animal inside and out. This is my dream car that I was fortunate enough to make reality yesterday and this cars roots where based off of a classic 68-69 camaro with modern day technology. A lot of features on the interior and ecspecially the exterior are from that era. So, in short, not like 4th gen...at all!
