Arrow 2010 Camaro SS Racecar Build-up / BLOG

Hi Guys,

Not sure if I'm in the right forum or not for this post - if not, mods please forgive and move to the appropriate area...

One of our customers is having us build a new (and I mean NEW) racecar for him and I thought I would post a link to the website here in case you were interested in watching Carriage House Custom Automotive's website and build progress..

This is going to be an exceptionally nice racecar that's being built to run in NASA's American Iron series. Hopefully we'll be able to get Homologation into the SCCA's American Sedan class as well..

Transformer's Bumblebee on the track?

There's been a few updates now..

We're still working on getting all the component weights logged into a spreadsheet and then onto the website. We will be posting all the weights for you guys..

Just an FYI -

The Tremec TR6060 weighs a svelt 156#
It's cooled by an oil cooler in the radiator and the pump is (edit) built into the front of the trans.

The roll cage started going in this week and will be finished soon.. We're hoping to have this car done in time for the NASA Nationals...

Wow - lotta work.

Just curious - what's the size difference between the TR6060 and the T56? Are they swap-able?

Yes - it's a ton of work but will be worth it in the end I'm sure..

I can't say if the T56 is a candidate for a swap for this box as we don't have one in the shop to compare to right now. We did look at possibly swapping in the Tremec TKO600 though. That weighs 99#. The car will be going out with the stock TR6060 for now and we'll see how it holds up.

Exhausting Work..

Heat / Cat Convertors - Yep - it's all pretty much isolated right there..

Here's some other shots of the exhaust system and components;

The whole 9 yards - This system weighs in at 75# not including the manifolds and cats;

I believe that only affected 300 cars that were delivered with that trans. We'll check it out though..

I thought I recalled that issue affecting the input shaft.. I'll double-check..
