While i've seen these photos before when they came out in 1999. The resemblance to the 09 camaro is stunning, I am wondering how much of this will change when it comes into production as the GTO. I believe this is very similar to what we see as the camaro's cousin as I noticed on a rc car of my nephew's the tag said 2009 Pontiac GTO Concept. I hope the rear end of the car gets more squared out, (however that is a Pontiac trademark in a way) The combination of these two cars together should really bump up sales for GM.

 

Man I like the new muscle craze, but that thing needs to be toned down a LOT

 

It would never make it to production with a front bumper like that; pedestrian safety laws were created to keep idiots from getting impaled on bumpers when they step into traffic.

Besides, it's wicked ugly.

And the '09 Camaro used in the new Transformers movie is built on a current generation GTO platform, so I'm not too surprised that the dimensions are similar.

I still think they should just drop the GTO and pull the Firebird back in the sales with the Maro.

Honestly the Challenger and Barracudas are gonna look alot more like the original than the Camaro does. The Trans Am however looks like a slightly tweaked Camaro.

I'm new to this forum, so bear with me.
I'm from australia and there is talk of the new camaro arriving out here in australia (so they say) around 2009, it was unvailed at detroit motor show coloured silver. I am so wanting this amazing car to be produced out here in australia but I was wondering if you know how much it would be over here, we get your dodge rams, gmc and silerardo's converted and they cost an arm and a leg, although we have good cars Holden (GM), we haven't got anything as wicked as this and I am saving to try and get one, I absolutely love it. So if you could let us know I would appreiciate it.

Wow that looks like absolute crap... but as long as holden makes it, and imports it im sure it will have awsome build quality.

 

what GM needs to do is bring back some of the great styling to the GTO, like the stacked headlights on the 65'. personaly, the pic of the Trans Am looks bada$$. wonder how they would make a WS6 out of that beast!
