This last month i got a phone call from my trustworthy Chevy dealer and they told me that representatives came from GM letting them know the lineup coming ou and how they were pushing cars out earlier than expected b/c we all know GM is in trouble especially Chevy, so the representatives let them in on a big secret Chevy is releasing the Camaro either the Second or (more likely) the Third Quarter of this year year! So the Camaro will be on the showoom floor either late Spring or Early-Mid Summer as a 2008 model. I just put a deposit down on it and I'm guaranteed the first V8 of my choice either the Z28 or SS depending on release! Just thought you all would like to know so our war with Mustang and soon Challenger is much closer than you think so start preparing!!!!

 

thats badass, i won't be getting one but it'll be badass to see em on the road and hopefully the strip

 

i really wish they would come out with a 2007 model, for a 40th anniversary camaro, but as long as they come out it doesnt matter to me..

 

well i think they also decided to release it this year b/c it is the year of its 40th anniversary but 2007 or 2008 model it doesnt matter to me as long as its out this year which it will be i could care less if it was a 2006!!!!!

Response: i know i was skeptical too but if u read the new motor trend their is an article in the front about how they already produced camaros in austrailia and they would be on the road by x-mas, but too my surprise,their being tested and are being prepared to mass produce, from what my guy said, and i originally thoguht it meant x-mas of '07 they would be driving in australia b/c the issue is feb. 07 but at the bottom of the article it says the article was written in october november of '06, so it looks like they are pulling a fast one on us and they are gonna surprise the world with this one and it makes sense, b/c y would they tell everyone right now they are gonna, b/c then companies will steal their ideas and try to take away from sales if chevy pulls a sneek attack ford and dodge wont know what hit them and they wont be able to counter and chevy will have won with this beauty

 

ya, we'll probably know for sure in the next week b/c of the detroit auto show. i found that motor trend and did see it says that. i guess it does make sense now. it kinda sucks 4 me though. i gotta wait a few more years tilli can afford insurance on the new one. its gonna drive me nuts in the meantime. lol

ya well just think about it this way at least you'll have some time to get a good feel for the color options and interior that u'll want when u get one and you'll know what the best color is for you one you wont get sick of after seein them on the road for a lil bit but listen who cares wen any of us get 'em as long as they take the mustang from under their feet that's all that matters to me long live the camaro! *The Return Of The Camaro, Heaven Just Couldn't Handle All The Noise.*

p.s. the guys at www.camaro5.com/forumsare a bunch of idiots they think that because gm said the camaro would be a 2009 they cant bring it out early and if they did you arent allowed to make a '08 in the year 2007, how rediculous is that tell that to the '07 tahoe which came out january 4, 2006
