Drag Racing my DD
Hi Everyone,
My Camaro is a garage queen; however, my DD is a Mustang. I am a member of the Music City Camaro Club. We have a Spring Fling and a Fall Brawl every year at the track (Music City Raceway...aka Union Hill) in Goodlettsville. My Camaro friends are always gracious enough to let my little pony run the track with them on this day. Here is a video of my 300 hp GT against a 426 HP Camaro SS. My all stock car with 100k miles didn't do half bad. BTW, I am the driver...The announcer called me "The Lady Driver."

We did one of those best of both worlds this spring. I got my hands on a 79 fox platform and put together from some of the extra parts I had laying around the shop a 350 SBC. It really fits nicely in the mustang with only a little help on the trans tunnel. If you use the S-10 motor mounts and headers it is almost a bolt in swap. I had to make a small adapter for the tranmission mount but that was easy. Put a th350 and a 4.10 gear and it went 12.29 at 109.7mph. Sure made a lot of new friends with the mustang crowd?????? It really pissed them to thing we could go that fast with a $20 block a free 305 crank with $50 ebay pistons and a free 300hp 327 cu. in. cam and a set of vorte heads. Gotta love those vortec heads.

I like a little friendly rivalry, but some people take it way too far. I have some Camaro friends that have almost disowned me because I prefer to race the Mustang. You have to respect a fast car no matter what badge it has.

agree 100%. I went to the track Sunday just me, my Mustang buddy sat this one out and it just wasnt the same. Unfortunately our class ends next week so he will be heading out for good after that. It's fun to just talk trash in class, I dont even remember really who has won/lost more, and it doesnt matter anyway.
