Default 95 Z28 fans come on when I start car

Hey everyone! I've been having a problem with my other camaro recently. I just got it all back together after doing a head gasket job and it was running great and still does. But recently after I start the car, almost immediately the check engine light comes on and so does the fans. I have tried scanning the car and jumping the two pins in the OBD2 connector and no dice. Any ideas as to what is causing the issue? It happens even on cold start and they dont appear to want to turn off

Nope, the 12 flash didnt happen when I jumped pins 5 and 9 on the OBD2 port, I dislike this year because of the OBD1 computer with the 2 port -_-

sorry the headline didnt sink in, thought we were talking 93. 95 won't flash. have you scanned it before with the scanner your using. some won't work on a 95. also might try a couple different years and or models on the scanner settings to see if that works.

Ah I see, I might have to try a different scanner then. I used a ScanGauge and some Bluetooth plug-in one that my friend had. A hand held one might be better

You need a OBD1 scanner that connects to a OBD2 port.

See this topic for a free pc scan program for 94/95 LT1. All you need is the cable, a pc, and the app.

Maybe I should post a topic here describing it instead of referring outside the forum? What do you all think?
