Well Me And My 85 Went To The Drag Again Lastnight. This Was Our Third Time And I'm Getting A Little Better At Hooking Up. Still Spins Quite A Bit Tho. Made 5 Passes At The Cost Of Two Alternator Belts But, If You Have Read My Posts Thats Not Near As Bad As Usual. My Best Time Was 14.24 @ 97.32 Miles An Hour. My Second Best Time Was 14.61 @ 98.34 Miles An Hour. The Best Part About The Second Run Was Another Dodge Lost It's Pride. Smoked An SRT-4. On The Jump I Started to Spin So I Eased Up A Bit Then Nailed It Again And The Lakewoods Proved They Are Worth Their Money. The Back Squatted And We Was Gone. The SRT-4's Time Was 14.66 @ 102 Miles Per Hour. It Was Close But, Close Only Counts In Horseshoes And Handgrenades. It Took The Sting Out Of The Hemi Eating My Lunch In An Earlier Run. I Recently Installed A Tunnel Ram And It Seems To Be Giving Me More Torque Than The Dual Plane High Rise. I'm Still Running The Stock Rearend And Street Tires Tho. FWD burnouts are gay, I agree. That's why I also own another car that would eat your lunch that's RWD. I will include my sig pic this time. It's what a real car looks like. The SRT is my sleeper car. And if you don't believe it, PM 89/383stroker from this forum, it ate his car like it was standing still.

And with a good driver, stock SRT's can hit 13's. Launching a FWD perfomance car isn't easy, however, that's why you see some horrible 1/4 mile times out of SRT's. Any moron can launch a Mustang/Camaro 1/2 way decent. I give props to anyone who can launch an SRT well, it takes actual skill. And the more HP you add, the harder it becomes. I can't launch mine all that well, but with 430ish to the wheels, it doesn't take me long to catch up!

those times for the srt-4 that you ate are really bad . when i was stock i ran 14.2's consistantly. stock 04/05 srt-4's run 13.9's . the 03's run 14.0's. next time you see that guy tell him he needs to learn how to drag race.

Ummm, yeah. I am a supervisor at a Tier 1 Automotive supplier. I make my own cash. Enough of it that I don't HAVE to do my own work. I could if I so chose, I am mechanically inclined, and as a matter of fact I just put an alternator in my one of my friends S-10's last weekend as a favor. I have owned, fixed up, and sold a 71 Challenger and a 73 Duster, both with 340's in my younger days. Now I would rather pay someone else to do it, if that makes me a snob, so be it. I now get to pick and choose what I want to do, and what I don't.

No, the way I usually see it is it's a Neon BEFORE the race, and magically transforms to an "SRT-4" AFTER the race and they loose.

It has it's faults (interior needs work), it has it's good things (both of my cars can beat it), but at least he can hold his head high when he drives it because it doesn't look like he went to a junkyard and pulled out in the first car that would start. Man, do you have issues. You start a thread that is bashing a Neon SRT-4, which it wasn't, but you make a big deal out of it so you must have thought you accomplished something. Therefore you did care how fast the Neon was, since you were happy to beat it, meanwhile, anyone with a clue looks at your times and knows low 14's ain't gonna cut it with a SRT-4 Neon.
Then, after your bragging, when somebody with a real SRT-4 tells you what would have happened you tell them that "People That Really Got It Don't Have To Brag Nor Defend Themselves".
You need to learn more before you get your arse kicked.
If I were you I would start asking questions or buy some performance books and learn something before I went bashing on turbo 4 bangers. One of these guys might take your lunch money if you don't watch out, and I'm not talking about an 11 second turbo car, I mean a bone stock SRT-4 would kick your cars butt right now.
I can see you've wasted a bunch of cash on your car, I had a 1987 Camaro that I put a 350 in that I built for less than $1500 with a small hydraulic cam, a turbo 350 with a 3000 stall converter, and I put 4.56 gears in it with no posi and it ran 12.80's wearing Hoosier Quick Times.
The engine had stock 993 heads, 9.8:1 compression, a 280/480/230@50 cam, weiand stealth intake, holley 600 vacuum carb, and 1&5/8" headers.

So STFU and get to work private. P.S. thanks for posting that sillyass pic of your engine, it is going to be well used on other forums!
