Hey everyone I just found some neat stuff about dash pads. They install right over your current cracked/faded dash in about 15 mins.
they are hard shells and can be painted to match your interior. i saw them in a national parts depot catalouge and thougth i'd share it with everyone since i've seen a few posts about cracked dashes and dash repair.

I dont have the catalouge with me but i think they were around $35-45

that will work as long as that cracked dash isnt warped, which they are prone to do.it will never fit right if the dash is warped

the dash pads i saw were beyond primer and grinding.but i guess if you can get it some what flat it might work.i got a brand new dash for mine and it has been a sob putting in ,nothing seems to line up.it might not be a bad deal if you can get the dash to lay flat.i threw a driveshaft and busted the tranny at the tailshaft and bellhousing and it all exploded into the floors, now that i patch the damage up ,i think my floors have shifted because my center console is not lining up right,oh well i'll geter done
