i just recently picked up a tpi 350 from my freinds dad for 200 bucks and im rebuilding it and im looking for a manual trans for it.
it seems all the 3rd gen camaros have auto trans for the 5.7 so if anyone knows where i can find one or i can use one out of another car that would be awsome and i dont want to spend an arm and a leg for one

out of an 88

I've got a TH 350 long tail shaft trans in my 89 camaro. It's from a 76 Chevy 2wd truck. I used a B&M kit for the install. You can buy these trannys all over for about$3-400. Strong tranny but no OD. I'm using the a 1LE driveshaft so I'd say it's close enough length to a 700R4. If it's for an S10 any V8 or2.5 tranny will bolt up, length andtorque output would alter my decision. So what's it going into? How much poweryou thinking about?

its going into my 89 s10 and i have the engine down to the block hopefully by the time im done between 3 and 400 rwhp
right now it has the throttle body injection 4.3 v6 with the 700r4 auto trans i want to get a manual but for now i guess i can just bolt it up to the 700r4
thanks for the help
also i heard you can take the trans out of the 305 camaro and it will bolt right up to is that right

yup, though with 400hp, i wouldn't advise that. the 305 and 350 are the same block, so it's a direct bolt in. the old T5 doesn't like too high of horsepower without some beefing up

Any V8 trans will bolt up. Engine size does not matter. (a 4.3 V6 will also bolt up because they are also a 90 degree V)
