Default 3.8L V6: Always Automatic Transmission?

Alright, first off, I'm new to these forums so if I'm posting this in the wrong place, I appologize. My question is relatively simple. I'm looking into buying a 3.8L V6 Camaro but from a couple of the sites I've seen, it appears that there is no manual transmission with this engine size, there is only an automatic. Does anyone know for sure if this is true? I would prefer an automatic, but if it doesn't exist with this particular engine size then it's obviously not worth searching for.

Also, I'm just wondering if the 3.8L V6 is really that much of an improvement over the 3.3L V6 that is available with an automatic or manual transmission. Which is capable of better acceleration, the manual 3.3L V6 or the automatic 3.8L V6? Any suggestions as to which way I should go?

Answers to any of those questions would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, this might sound a bit stupid, but I've done a bit more research and found the answer to the question of whether there is a 3.8L V6 with a manual transmission. There is, but apparently only in the 1996 and 1997 models.

Opinions and answers for the second batch of questions (Following "Also, I'm just wondering if...) would still be appreciated.

[size=3]Well as a matter of fact they do make 3.8L with manual tranns but, now they are options so most dealerships dont get them with manuals just auto. my friend has a 1999 with a 3.8L and a 5 speed stick. so just keep looking and you wil find one.[size=3]

I have an 01 Camaro V6 with manual 5-speed. All 2001 Camaro V6's came stock with manuals. Automatic transmissions was an option (backwards from some other years). But yeah, a manual 5-speed on a 01 Camaro V6 was standard.

I wanted a manual so bad when I was lookin for my camaro, i love driving stick. I found my car at such a good deal I didnt want to pass it up so I got it even though it was an automatic...most of the camaros I looked at happened to be automatic.
