How do I install these door courtesy lights?
So I bought these sweet lights that shine the Chevy logo on the ground when you open the door, I just don't know what to connect the wires to.
Here's a link to them:

I'd like to wire it to something in the door panel instead if running wires to the BCM. I know there's a door trigger wire, but is it a grounding wire? So where would I get my constant 12v and would I need relays?

well it may be possible to tap into the wireing for you window motor ,then you need a a switch there is curtacy light in my 99 right at the door handle ,you could try taping into them as well that's as simple as take out the door handle cover should be ,? you don't notice them at night in your 98

Your talking about the small bulb that illuminates the door lock and power window switches? I figured this was not triggered by the door opening, but by the daytime running lights or else on all the time.
Although i'd like to make sure of that because it would make life much easier.
I'm thinking I'll have to use the negative door trigger wire in the doors with a relay on each side to convert it to positive 12 volts, and use the constant 12V from the power window power wire.
Can anyone else chime in?

Thanks for the reply guys. I think I've figured it out!
I tapped into the drivers side 12V constant power source for the side mirrors and used the negative triggering door ajar wire to ground the light so it turns on and off with the doors.
I was using a relay (which took me 1.5 hours to solder everything up!), but realized it wasn't needed so I removed it and just using wires now. Works great.
The passengers side has no 12V constant source of power, so I'm thinking of just hooking both 12V constant power wires to the small light as 95 Camaro mentioned, than using both negative trigger door wires to ground the light to turn it on.
It would make sense as I only need them when it's dark out, and to my knowledge, these small lights only illuminate when it's dark out.
I'll confirm this all after I re-solder everything for a third time lol

So the drivers side door works great using the 12V constant from the side mirrors and the negative door trigger.
The passenger side is a no-go with the small l door light. It only turns on when the headlights are on, so for me that's normally when I have the engine turned on and the E-brake off, so I doubt i'd be entering or exiting the vehicle in that case.
Looks like the only way that will work will be to run a wire from the passenger door to inside the cab for a constant 12V source than still use the negative trigger to trigger it.
I'd rather have a grounding wire go through my door for safety but the 12V source is my only choice.
There are two constant 12V source from the door locks inside the passenger door but they are very low current, makes the light very dim and I noticed my door locks would randomly unlock and lock, so don't go that route lol
