Question Headlight/Cruise/Turn Signal Switch Problems

I have a 96 Z28. When I try to use the left turn signal, it stays solid and will not flash, the right turn signal works just fine. The high beam switch doesn't do anything either. The cruise seems to work fine. My question is what is involved with changing the switch on the column? I'm assuming the lever itself is fine.

The switch on the column is definitely the problem. There was broken pieces falling out of it when I removed the lever. Also if anyone can link a place I can buy the part that would be nice. Thanks.

Interested it the replies. My high beam switch doesn't work. Haven't had a chance to try the cruise control. Blinkers are fine.

Check your bulbs. Things get funky if you have one that is burned out.

If one of your blinkers is out it will stay solid and not flash. I'm not sure if it effects the other things though. I found a new switch on rock auto for a little over 100$ You might be able to find one cheaper somewhere else but rock auto is generally pretty cheap.

if blinker bulb is not working dash light will stay on. headlight dimmer not working could need adjusting. bulb socket could be the problem so check the connectios at the bulbs.

Shop around, rock auto seems to be a little pricey for this piece. Jegs has it for 66$. OReillys 61$.

What kind of adjustments can you make to the dimmer switch and where do you make them? I'm assuming that you push the lever away from you (toward the front of the car) to turn the high beams on. Mine just pushes forward with no click and the high beam light on the dash doesn't come on. I don't think the high beams do either. My '94 sunbird had the same set-up.

Thanks
