1994 3.4L 5 Speed Camaro
Hey everyone I'm new to this Forum! I'm considering buying a 1994 3.4l 5 speed Camaro with t-tops. Guy is asking $1800. It has 200,000 miles on the body but the engine was rebuilt 60,000 miles ago. Is this too many miles on the body? Or will the car be worth the money. I'm a senior in highschool and don't have a lot of money for fixing expensive things.. Thanks in advance!

To me the car is not worth it. The 3800 is a much better engines and finding one in better then that condition for that price should not be hard. That thing will need a fender, looks like the door also, a hatch and rear bumper cover, and you HOPE the part under the hatch is not damaged because if it is good luck getting that to seal.
Honestly I have seen Lt1 Z28s with that much damage selling at that price.

As for the "rebuilt" 3.4 I would want to see proof. To pay a shop to pull and really rebuild a 3.4 with 140k on it would cost at least 5k with the machine shop costs. I have been told before that an engine was "rebuilt with receipts!" only to find out the guy paid $2800 to replace the remain seal, oil pan gasket and a set of head gaskets.

Thanks for the advice guys. I won't get the car and will definitely keep looking. I'm wanting to find a Trans Am but they're stupidly rare around my area. Camaro was the next best option and I should get a v8 anyways.. I wouldn't complain about a 3800 though. If anyone feels obligated to look through oregoncoast craigslist at camaros and give me their honest opinions I would appreciate it! Thanks for the fast replies guys
