Default Overheathing,Idle Stalling

K...so m my engine been recently stalling at idle, and the Choke service light comes on, my fan also has not been working, and I can't locate the wiring leading to it, to find out if its damaged. To much split wiring. Im almost giving up at this point. ..but im still hanging in there. My engine was loud and strong, but recently its been sounding weak, and struggling to drive.
Im not sure what to trouble shoot at this point, anyone?
Its really driving me up the wall, considering taking out the motor and starting over..

Well the easy way to get you going on that fan is to wire the positive straight into the fuse box. make sure you have a fuse somewhere along the wire and you can use a spade connector to plug it in. just make sure you have it plugged into an ignition circuit. That will get you going until you can hammer out the real culprit. also is the reason it is stalling bc of overheating or is that a separate problem?

Does your car have A/C? Turning on the air (whether or not your A/C actually puts out) should turn the radiator fan on, unless you have more serious problems with it.

What are you working on?
If you have wiring problems fix them and eliminate that as the problem
