limited Slip???

Default limited Slip???

i just bought a 86 iroc and im wondering if it has limited slip or not or is it posi and how can you tell the difference
on dry asphalt only one wheel spins in a burn out but after it rains both spin??? also whats the differnce???

Actually The More Appropriate Terms Are Open And Locked Yours Is An Open Differential. When The Rearend Senses The Wheel Thats Pulling Is Loosing Traction It Allows Both To Pull. For Everyday Driving Vehicles It's The Only Way To Go. It Makes The Vehicle Drive Better On Slick Roads. On A Locked Differential Both Wheels Pull Full Time. Perfect For Drag Racing But, Doesn't Handle As Good On Everyday Drivers And It's A Bigger Strain On The Drive Train. Sick

RPO # for the limited Slip rear is G80. However: considering the age of the car the Limited Slip may be shot. Also Limited Slip is a AKA Posi which was Chevy's tradename for one.
