I just picked up a '79 Camaro Berlinetta and it is just a rolling chassis. It had a 305 in it and I have a big block 454 I'm rebuilding. What type of motor mounts do I need? Does anyone know where I could purchase them. What would be a good transmition to put in it also? If anyone knows of a good place to get replacement parts for the car your help is needed.

 

You need to leave the stock frame mounts, and use a set of motor mounts for a small block V8 to install the 454.(any 350 mount). As for buying them, you can get them at any local NAPA, unless you want solid Moroso, or polyurethane mounts.

 

The stock mounts are compatible with big-blocks and small-blocks. As for tranny try throwing a TH-400 behind that sucker.
