Having Trouble With My 2002 SS
I bought my 2002 SS new, and it only has 36,000 miles on it; it is not my daily driver. Lately when I go to start it after it has sat for a few days when I turn the key to ignition nothing happens. After holding the key to the start position after about 5-10 seconds the dash lights up as does the clock and the car chimes 5 beeps. It still does not start though. After another 10-15 seconds the engine finally starts. Sometimes the engine dies, and I have to restart it. I was thinking maybe a weak or going dead battery so I replaced the battery, but it still happens. It usually starts fine after driving if I stop somewhere and have to restart it after a short while. Just a few weeks ago though after driving for about 30-45 minutes and then shutting it off for maybe 10 minutes when I went to restart it the engine wouldn't turn over and all I got was a loud fluttering noise. No warning lights have come on in the dash display. As always my auto repair shop can't get it to replicate what happened to me. They said that it didn't throw up any codes to even give them a hint what to look for. Does this problem sound familiar to any of you that own a 4th gen Camaro with the LS1 engine? Do you have any ideas of what the problem could be? Thank you.
try cleaning the positive and negative junction box wires, wire brush the heck out of the wire ends. not completely sure where they are on the 02, check wire ends for good contact and damage where the wire goes in. check and clean all grounds you can find.

I believe the 2000 link is good for you. could go with 02 firebird, body and interior are a little different.
