Overfilled A/T help
Guys, could please someone check the length of the proper A/T fluid level feeler on the LT1 camaro?
I suspect overfilled transmission, my feeler shows over the hot level on the hot and running engine.
I measure from red cap edge to the "holes": 30,5 and 30,9 inches.
Before I remove excessive fluid, better check if my car is equipped with the right feeler.
Thanks in advance!

today is a hot day, and my suspicion that the car runs waay too rich, or something else, led to: misfiring on the highway, rough, pulsing vibration, pulses of torque on near-stopping speed (feels like very bent brake discs, car is jumping forward in pulses) and weird "rustle" noise from engine bay (as exhaust rustling to manifold, but usually it's quiet), loss of power. Gets worse with A/C on. Sonds like some cylinders are not igniting. Stinks very rich.
Changes made from the last "ok" ride except hot weather: added 0,5 qt engine oil (was on "min" mark, but now I'm not sure if the engine oil dipstick is a right one too).
Any ideas? Can 0,5 qt oil added lead to symptoms like this?
Will try to:
1. remove 0,5 qt oil and drive
2. check accessible spark plugs for colour (rich/lean/ok)
3. if persists - replace engine temp sensor on the water pump (its giving engine temp to the ECU, maybe reads too low and therefore rich)
any ideas are highly welcome. not much knowledge on this engines here locally...
Thanks!
that last plug back on the passenger side is a major pain. both my 93s that I have bought, when I changed those plugs they looked like they never been changed. flex head ratchet helps also short plug socket. not to short,,, lol.
might try testing temp sensors. I think 93-96 have two temp. sensors, one for gauge and one for computer. if the one for the computer gets unhappy it will tell your computer its -40 degrees and it will pump the gas to the cylinders making it run like crap and very rich. look here number 20 http://shbox.com/1/how_tos.html. I had one go bad in a truck I had and it really ran bad once it warmed up.

And it was replaced not so long ago.. But, having the wrong dipstick, maybe previous owner has replaced sensor with the wrong one... Need to find the part number and order anyway, to be on secure side.
