RideTech Frame Connectors
I recently seen RideTech has a new set of bolt in frame connectors for Gen1 Camaros. I haven’t been able to find any reviews on these. Anyone have anything to say about them?
I just recently installed the Ride Tech connectors in 68 SS . Install was very easy and fit great. I'd definitely buy again.

Even if they made one there is only so much an addon frame connector can do. These 1st gen rag tops are flimsy, marketing wanted to build a convertible Z28 and the engineers said with the stiffer suspension they would twist the whole car permanently if pushed. 20 lbs of tubing will only do so much. The engineers did not want to put the big blocks in but with the stock tires the rear could not put enough torque to the road to hurt the car in the short term. Most of the rag tops where done racing by the time I became a mechanic but even the hard tops would tear right at the corner of the window behind the driver head. Just to be equal to a hard top with supports you would need a full cage.
This is what is out there just do not expect too much.
