Hey All, wondering if anyone has put a set of Beyern Rapp wheels on their 4th gen. I've been looking forever to find something comparable to Fikse FM5's that is available in 17" or 18" and this seems to be the closest (reasonable) option, and I'm told has the same bolt pattern.
Any info or other ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
I know, I know, better stick to 26". But. It's a cruising car, no racing etc. Bad roads + need clearance, so lowering suspension is not ideal for looks. Goal was: wheels better fill the wheel wells, more rubber, as elastic suspension element, between the rim and the road, less RPM at highway speed.
27,7-27,6" what I try out now. Rims are 18x8,5J allround. 245/50ZR18 front + 275/45ZR18 rear, Pirelly P-Zero's. Waaay softer on road inperfections compared to 245/45R18 before. Minimalistic rubbing on extra spoiler walls entering the wheel wells (to be grinded away). Like the "kinda oldschool" looks with slightly bulged sidewalls, as 275/45R18 is at the lower limit for the rim width at 8,5". If I ever will restore acceleration - better do it with more power/higher axle gearing, so far do not feel like the car got slooow. ABS has no complains.
