Default Tire size?

I bought a 96 camaro rs with the Y87 performance package. I dont need new tires now, but i was looking around for what to get when i need them. Problem is, is that i have 3 different kinds off tires on it and one off them is a different size. I put the 2 that were the same brand and size in the rear. They are 245/50/16 there is one up front that is a 235/55/16 i think. If i want to get all new tires should i go with the 245's or what would yall suggest? What is the real difference between them, cause i think that most stock rs's come with 215's or somthing like that? Also does anyone no of a good tire thats cheap butstill a good performance tire,i think i have 2 hankook ventus har2's on the back and they seem to be pretty good. Ihave a Yokohama on there too and it seems to be pretty nice. Thanks

sounds like a good combo, you could go with 235 front and 255 rear thats what a lot og people do. The difference is the width of the tire in mil's 245. the side wall height would be a % of the tire width/ 50..... The over all diameter of the tires OD is the total height of the tire in inches.26.8. as long as the Od is the same or smaller in the front then you should be ok. As far as good cheap tires,I like cooper cobras if I'm not going with good year or bf goodrich. a good site to check out for tires and rim's is http://www.performanceplustire.com/ I never bought anything there but use it as a place to chek up on stuff. Hope this helps.

You have 16x8 wheels and I would stick withthe 245/50/16 or if you don't care about tire rotation a larger rear tire 255/50/16.. I would not use any other sizes that may affect the cars handling. I don't see how you can drive that car with the different tires sizes.
