PLZ Will this fit.

I am wondering what is the widest size tire that I can fit on a 17x9.5 rim. They are going on my 02 Camaro SS. I have heard that a 315/35R/17 will fit and I have also heard that it won't fit. So I turn to the experts and maybe someone has experience or knows for sure what works. Also I am positive that there will be no fitment issues under the car as long as I can get the tires on the rim. If anyone has any insight I would really appreciate it.

i fit 295's on a 18x9.5 in rim fairly easily... 315 may be pushing it tho.

315s will be stretched. 275 or 295 max
