Default maximum tire width

What's the widest tire i could fit on the two rear 16 in. salad shooter rims. 275's or would 265's be better. Or any other size.

im not gunna go into this but why do you need extra traction on a 3.4 v6? not tring to be a ****. but were you just looking for looks or do you acctually spin em? or one.

I ran 255's on an 8inch rim on my old mustang.....fit just fine. I'd say an 8 inch rim could take a 265, but I wouldn't go any wider than that.

255 is the maximum recommended on an 8" rim according to the BFGoodrich website.

The larger the tirewidth is not always the best. Unless you want a part time job rolling fresh asphalt. Also those extra wide tires require a lot more torque to get going whichmeans less gas mieage for that V6.

Your confusion about spinning the tires, for one you DO NOT have a limited slip rear (RPO G80) that is why it acts that way. It is anopen rear which almost all V6 cars have..

gotcha, well i've got some 295's on some c5 rims but i need wheel spacers, i got some 12mm... 1/2", will those work. When i had them up there, it was close, but i'm not sure if 1/2" will be good enough, should i get 3/4"?
