Brake Calipers??
Looking to replace my calipers for looks. Any suggestions on some high performance brake calipers or should I just spray paint the stock ones to match the color of my car.??

That is a nice looking car. I am process of upgrading my front calipers to the larger twin piston 2000 caliper. I was thinking of red powder coat. But now I am thinking the Red might not work with the green paint. Standard paint would not hold up very well. I can not imagine you would see much if you painted them dark green.
What do you think about gold?

Yup, it's cause your a noob! J/k
IMO if your only in it for looks and not performance, buy a set of OEM calipers and have them powder coated in the color of your choice. On the other hand if you want better performance and dont mind spending a lil cash Brembo offers a kick **** twin piston/big rotor kit.
Oh, And for Gorn, Hows about silver?

If I am going the silver route I might as well do Chome. You would not want to powder coat new calipers. Boots would not survive the 425 degs required to powder coat. Silver/chrome with chrome rims? I think it would all just blend together.

Oh well, thought silver might look o.k. IDK it's just something bout hunter green and gold that screams lowrider (100 spokes and hydros) to me. Mabey it's just me
How are you gonna powder coat yours?

I actually agree 100% with that ^ I think gold is a little...tacky looking, imo. Silver/chrome would still pop. It would blend in a little, it would be noticeable, but also slightly darker because of being behind the wheel. I think that green is a hard color to work with and not make it something people are going to ask 'wtf was he thinking?' I personally don't care for it. I'm a black-car-only kind of person. You could always look into something of a lighter green color that's still in that hunter green family. I don't know how conservative or abstract you want to get with color. Just an idea.

Just pull the calipers apart. Discard all the rubber pcs. Clean um up. Powder coat,, Cook um. Then install all new seals and boots. I found the piston seal kits for around $13 shipped you need 2 per caliper. So you kinda want to be sure of the color before you powder coat. Its a lot tuffer stripping powder coat then it is stripping crud.
