Default Another t-top question

It’s really hard for me to open my t-tops. Would it be safe to spray some wd 40 or maybe some grease in there?

Also if your driving with the t-tops off and you have the windows up and go about 55 mph do you get a really annoying noise?

Try spraying some in the handle opening and where the bars go into the roof...you cant really hurt anything, just make a mess

and for the second part...yes of course, the aerodynamics doing that suck so you will get some serious drag

All right just making sure I'm not crazy. I use to drive with the t tops off and windows down, but since both motors are dead at the moment it’s not really an option.

All right, I’m trying to take the plastic part off. I got the two screws on the sides out but how do I get the handle off?

Yeah that’s what I ended up doing to the driver side one. The passenger side one just popped right off which was kinda cool. When I bought my car the passenger t top didn’t have the lock in it. So I dug it up and was trying to figure out how to reattach it, but that didn’t turn out so well.

Other than getting the lock back in, yeah. It’s much easier for me to open them now.
