bout a year ago i raced a guy with an 01 gts toyota celica. we just ran from a light and he got me. had me by about a length and a half at about 70. this was when my car was completely stock just after i bought it. nothing done to it. since then, ive gotten new tires, new clutch, new fuel pump, new plugs, wires, and coils, a cold air intake, and exhaust. so i get a text from him last night and we meet up to run them again. we drive around for a while trying to find a good place to go. while we're doing that, i decide to head down this really curvy road i know of and see whos got the faster one thru the curves. i left him bad. had to wait prolly 20 or 30 seconds by the time i got to the end for him. so we eventually found a road and ran them. he missed 2nd about 5 times but when we both hit all the gears, they were pretty much dead even. he called me later and told me my car wasnt the same car he raced a year ago at all. not only that, before we raced, he emptied everything out of the backseat, lowered the his tire pressure for more grip, and had his 110 pound gf ride with him. i just got in my car and picked up one of my 240 pound fraternity brothers and went. didnt empty it out and didnt touch my tires. i consider it a damn good win for me
