Default Rice kill

Saturday, I was driving my brothers Chevy Colorado home from a carwash that was to help out a friend who had been hit on his motorcycle. Heading down a side street that runs along the freeway i see a white honda a hundred or so yards back. We get to a stop light and he pulls up next to me reving his fart can exhaust.

Light turns green and he nails it, he took a car on me, since I was driving an auto, with the A/C blasting, and the subs pounding i didn't care that i might lose to a stripped down honda with no AC in the hot Arizona heat. when he shifted into second early i started to gain on him, the truck shifted to second and we where door to door. I started pulling on the upper end of 2nd, and when 3rd came i had a car on him, and pulled to a 3 car lead before getting off just when it would have shifted to 4th.

The next light lead us onto the freeway, after driving 3 miles he did a ricer fly by going probably 80 in a 55.

pictures of my brothers car before we bought it from its then owner Scott. we picked it up in january of 08 for 22k, had 5600 miles on the odometer when we got it.

2 engine options for the colorado 2.9L 185HP I-4 or the 3.7L 242HP I-5 my brothers is the 2.9L. I believe it'll do low 16's in the 1/4 and I'm sure it would do even better without 20 inch rims on it.

Those are the slow ricers.

I have an "American" ricer, does that count?? Its not that slow but then again, I don't drag. Purely track it all day long.

Cobalt isn't a ricer, and the SS version is a great car in my opinion. I like 'em. Could make some Muscle cars think twice and others look dumb.
