on my way home from work i saw a 87 +/- Monte SS in traffic, as i pass him in the right lane (THE SLOW LANE!) he goosed @ me. but traffic was super thick so i rust reved and keep going with traffic, then he starts cutting through traffic until hes beside me. we get caught at a light and when the light turned green we let traffic ease up until we had room for a quick punch. not even decent enough to be called a race. from the word go all he saw was taillights, so i let off and keep cruising with traffic. later down the road traffic thinned out and here he came again. gets beside me and reved , so i down shifted to third and nailed it, once again he stared at taillights. what is with the retards in their stock 305 powered cars thinking they are something? that is the 3rd Monte SS i have had goose at me , and the third to fall. if your gonna start a race with a car that you know is pretty quick stock, at least bring enough to play . like a knife at a gun fight.....i love stupid people

Those Monte SS's are 16 second cars, real turds and for some reason the owners are tools too. I really hate those cars because the kid that rear-ended me and totaled my 94 Z/28 was driving one.

the thing that gets me is it's always the ones with the stock pos 305's that think they are the fastest thing on wheels. i have seen some VERY killer monte's, but they have monster engines in them. there are a couple locally that run DEEP in the 6's (1/8th). the chassis is a good chassis, but most of the ones here are stock 305's with flowmasters.

a v6 might have a chance, but not off the line. a buddy of mine has an 06 saturn redline supercharged and lost to an 87 Monte at a 20 roll up to about 90, so im not sure how an RS camaro would do

im not sure if there was a difference. i always thought the RS was just the base package. like the 1st thru 3rd gen RS v8s were the base v8s. i dont think they made an RS v8 after 92, so the 4th gen RS's are just kinda considered to be the v6
