nice to see my thread is still alive even tho my last post was prolly over a year ago :]

 

1966 Mustang.

I was sitting at a light waiting to turn left, saw him blast by in the direction I was waiting to turn. I ended up catching up to him and he was burning rubber and revving his engine. He sure sounded fast.

I was right behind him at the light. He was pulling 4k with his revs just to be loud.

At the green he hit it, and so did I. Mind you, I was behind him at the light. I immediately got over to the next lane expecting to trail him, but walked RIGHT by him at around 80mph.

He did not look happy. I was ecstatic, although I rarely partake in street racing. He was the one showing off, I was just trying to keep up and took him badly.

I braked, he took off past me and must have hit nearly 120 before slowing down...in a 40 zone.

I got out of there...

One of my favorites: a 5.0 turbo (so the guy said, didn't hear it) mustang. This guy supposedly had 1,000,000 horsepower....lol he was loud and hit a lick, but he did not have claimed hp. I did not floor it till second. He had slicks, I had street tires. He tried me again with same outcome so it is not a fluke bad run for him. Enjoy... I did.

 

I beat a VW van with my 464 BBC powered '63 Falcon. He jumped me off the line, but I came back and just caught him before the next light. Can't believe VW stopped making them. Those suckers are quick!
