I have an 01 z28 and my girlfriends friend wants to run me. Her friend has a new 06 or 07 350z(whichever is the anniversary edition its supposed to put out 300 horses). We're both autos, can i beat him?

Also her other friend wants to go. He's got an 04 GTO, i know hes got more horsepower but i heard for some reason theyre slower. He's got a 5 speed and im an auto, probly a tougher race but can i take him?

 

Honestly the GTO will take you if the driver is good. If not then itll be close. As for the 350Z, you should have it. as much as I like them you should be able to beat it if its bone stock. If he's modded it then it could be a good race. Take it to the tracks and post up the slips

 

350z will be yours, they are not really that fast. The 04 GtO it will be close you both have ls1 but the gto ways slightly more. If the guy is only an average driver with a manuel trans you will win hands down. If he is good he will take you by about a half a car but not much. My stock01 trans am a4 went up against a stock 04 GTO m6 he was pretty good driver I had him beat by like a bumper or slightly more it was a damn close race, it was one of the best races I had yeat with my new TA.

 

350z run about 13.9-14.1 stock, you would deff. take it. As for the GTO i would make sure you have good driving skills, cause it's gonna be damn hard to beat.

 

04 GTO's are unforgiving to a poor driver, if you can even remotely drive your LS1 you should be able to violate the 350z and beat the GTO.
