actually stock for stock the ls1 should be faster than an evo and STi. however that awd is much more forgiving to an inexperienced driver assuming he isnt afraid to rev it up and dump it. if both guys know how to drive the camaro should pull ahead.

a decently driven EVO with just a couple of mods will rape a stock LS1 if you dont launch it right.

and ive seen a couple AWD peel outs. a guy at my dad's work has a EVO with about 450AWHP and about 18grand in JUST engine mods. another 7 grand or so in the other ****. all he needs is a TT setup. meth injected and all. he'll peel all 4 out till about 60MPH.

 

those cars actually have the ability to divide power between the front and back by varying degrees. its not always 50/50. while you cannot go 100% rwd, you can get close and in his rain assisted donut clips thats what hes doing. if you look at his speedo run he revs to 6k and dumps it. there was no peel out there.

They're rated at 300 hp and ft lbs. If he's stock it will be drivers race because of the fact that he is a little lighter and he's got the AWD if he knows how to use it to his advantage. If it's a newer MR or Evo 9 they put 286 to the wheels. Evo 8's put like 264 I believe to the wheels. (Evo 9 is 04-06 I believe) If you heard his turbo he might have a different blow off valve that might be it. But most likely not alot of people who have them up the boost front mount intercooler full exhaust and then they have a over 300 to the wheels. As far as DSM goes that also includes Evo's.

hold the brake. you should do this even with a stall. preload all the drivetrain parts.

 

Haha nice car man, I was extremely close to buying that exact camaro out of NY. How them subs workin for ya? And my buddy has a brand new EVO. stock HP 320 (he says). So If I were you I would hope the kid can't drive. turbo AWD has a bit on our RWD sloppy traction. If I happen to find out my z28 beats his evo ill let u know. Nice car by teh way, it didn't take long to sell tahts for sure.
