I'm not saying they don't exist. But I'm saying that I've never seen one do it. I've seen DSMs run 9s. I've seen camaros run 6s. Hell, I've even seen bugs run 10s. I'm sure I could find one cyber-racing on the internet do whatever time I wanted it to run. But I've never watched one do it.

Neons are throw-away cars. I won't deny that. But after you build a car, you will realize that the car you started with is just a way to get to your goals. It's light, and I can get as much power as I can afford under the hood of it. Goal met. Hell, if I threw an LS1 into my car (if it were even possible to make it fit without moving the firewall) it wouldn't be any faster just because of the weight.

I put my money into my performance build. If that were in a Honda, a Camaro, or a Neon, it's still my performance build, regardless of the unibody it's pulling down the track. Take the powertrain out of a 3KGT and a Neon, and tell me which is faster. That's right, the neon, cuz you gotta push it down the track and it weighs less.

So my point is this: Lick me, R-Tard. I'm much faster than you, even in my "throw-away car".

 

lmao no ur not i will waste ne neon the srt4's and my 3000 are damn near same time @ the strip(stock vs stock) ive tested this several times with my friends srt4.

3350lbs/222hp for a base 3KGT such as yours. About 15lbs per HP.

2100lbs/375hp for my car (It will be a couple weeks though. I have some rings to file) is about 5.6 lbs per HP.

Those are also crank HP numbers VS. wheel HP numbers, so the difference is even more dramatic. My crank numbers will be closer to 430, the way your HP is measured. Better than a 5:1 ratio compared to your 15:1.

I'm not sure how you think you'll keep up with that. Let's use numbers from my last dyno, before the cam. That was 220 with a heat-soaked intercooler. That's still a 9.5:1 ratio.

How about an SRT4? 230hp, 2950 lbs. 12.8:1 ratio. Close, but you still lose unless your buddy can't drive.

The only way you would ever win a 1/4 mile race against my car is if I broke something.

1/8 mile, we already know that I run an 8.0, and you run a high 9. Top speed? I don't know. I don't have tires that go that fast. Previous setup was well over 150. The car wanted to go, and I kept picturing the all season tires blowing out, so I didn't stay on it.
