i thought SC too when i read it. however, the sn95 v6 stangs were just bad. 145hp from the factory, and all sn95 cars were just crap without alot of work. Ive seen the 4.6 GT's with blowers just turn 300rwhp. The 99 4.6 would turn 400rwhp with a blower and little else done. If he is running the v6 alone you will demolish him. If he is talkin smack its even better [8D]

I was on the Mustang forums and the 99-04 GT's only dyno 225-240hp at the wheels. I think the new 05 GT dyno at 255-260. I've watched the Horse Power show and one of the guys on the show is a Mustang guy and he put a Vortec SC in his 97-99 Stang and it only dynoed at 286hp!! I thought that was a joke. Rockin85 it won't even be a race!!

If it was a 97 or 98 stang I can believe that. Then only came stock with about 225 BHP. But Ive seen several newer mustangs with a blower that were in the 400s HP & trq wise. Even a few V6s.

if it was an 07 GT i wouldnt even bother. my friend has one and they supposedly come stock with 300hp. the things got *****, i went for a ride and in no time we were going 70.

Yeah an 05-07 GT would kill you. They are not as quick as an LS1 Camaro, but still 13 sec. cars. My buddy has a 98 4.6 GT. I ran him when my fuel regulator was going out and I didn't have a constant flow of fuel to the motor. From a 45 roll we were even, from a dig he took me by about 2 car lengths. I'd like to run him again since my car is fixed now. You should have no problembeating that V6 stang.

4.6 2 valve stangs are ratedaround 240 crank HP. I think the 3.8 V6 stang make around 185 crank HP. the lesser 6 producesa littleless i think its around165. The with your list off mods you should bea littlefaster than a stock 3.8 camaro. I would say you take him.

ish, the 96-98 GT - 225hp 99-04 - 260/305
v6 -145 hp - 193hp
the 96-98 cobras were all at 300hp and can be a little goofy. ford was lax with the cams, and since there is 4, a lax configuration can mean hit or miss. when they miss they are dogs and have goofy torque curves, when they hit, they hit hard
