my friend bought a mustang with a blown 6 cyl. so he sent it out to get it fixed. it came back with a brand new 6 cyl. i dont know if its a BRAND new or replacement engine. but im gonna ask him if he knows how to drive it and take him on at a long straight away in the town. im pretty confident ill win, but if its a newer engine i think they have like 250 hp. i might240 to 260, couldnt tell. its a mid 90s stang, dont know if its stick or auto. any help or info on those engines would be helpful.

 

If it is a 94-98 V6 Stang it is in fact very, very, very slow. To put it into prospective the Mustang GTs from 94-98 are a drivers race for the 3.8L V6 camaros (95-02.) And that was the GT with a V8. The V6 stangs were a ways behind the GT too.

However FI changes everything. It really depends on how much boost he is running. The cars only made like 150 HP stock. And now they are all 10+ years old. Which means he probly isent sending alot more than 120 HP to the wheels N/A.

With boost I think he would be in the low-mid 200s BHP. It really depends alot apon the boost, But I think you should beat him.

when he said blown, did he mean super/turbo charger or did he mean blown with a rod through the block

Yea, thats not even a race, thats a slaughter. Just look at this way, if you miss 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th you could still beat him...

 

i thought SC too when i read it. however, the sn95 v6 stangs were just bad. 145hp from the factory, and all sn95 cars were just crap without alot of work. Ive seen the 4.6 GT's with blowers just turn 300rwhp. The 99 4.6 would turn 400rwhp with a blower and little else done. If he is running the v6 alone you will demolish him. If he is talkin smack its even better [8D]
