Once upon a time in a land far far away, I had an 89 RS with a manual trans and a 305. My buddy offered to race for pinks with his 07 F-150 H-D edition. He was pretty confident because of his supercharger, but I was pretty sure id embrass him. I never did because I was more afraid of winning than losing (he outranked me,) but I just wonder what mightve been...

 

he would have had you, those trucks can move pretty good. the 305 was pretty much a boat anchor. the HD F150 was good for about a 7 flat 0-60, the 305 was about a 7.8

 

Supercharged you say?

 

ya, the Harley edition is supercharged. just not a very strong s/c

 

Believe so. That RS also liked to squeal off the line. It was mainly stock too, I didnt have it that long. It was a beautiful machine though, topped out at 120 without breaking a sweat.

 

believe me, the 305 was running out of breath at that speed. my 350 doesn't even break a sweat at 145
